In my novel, The Magician's Tattoo all magic is exothermic and it does warm the caster up a little. In fact in chapter 2 we see Brian cooling off by washing his face (even if it is an inappropriate time to do so) and later panting because of the heat generated. I've even drawn energy profile graphs of the magic system to help me understand how the magic works from an energetics perspective!Matthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07657909995349286809noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-922493441779206733.post-9706107347284247572012-12-09T22:37:27.692+00:002012-12-09T22:37:27.692+00:00I particularly like the Exo/Endo-thermic link to w...I particularly like the Exo/Endo-thermic link to writing... imagine if a magic-maker (of any sort) either cooked or froze each time they used their power... My current WIP starts with a guy simply driving his car and every gets chaotic very quickly and will continue to do so. Just ensure that the chaos doesn't prevent your reader understanding what you're trying to say.Matthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07657909995349286809noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-922493441779206733.post-5867154399205037512012-12-05T13:06:31.755+00:002012-12-05T13:06:31.755+00:00Matt,

And it explains why my headphones are always tangled in my handbag - no matter how carefully I wrapped them up in the first place! The writing prompts are excellent. They have given me a whole new way of looking at several events in my current ms. Especially the one on chaos.
Best,
KKirsten M.noreply@blogger.com
